From April 2020 the new service delivery model designed by carers, for carers, should be fully implemented and operational.

Carers Queensland will be supporting carers during the transition to the new Carer Gateway Service Providers.

Carer Gateway is a national service funded by the Australian Government.

Wellways will be carers’ first point of contact for Carer Gateway services in Queensland, South West Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains.

New services include face to face counselling, planning assistance and financial packages.

If you care for a family member or friend, then these services are for you.

How to access these services

To access the new services, you will need to register your interest in the new Carer Gateway support services by completing the expression of interest form on the Wellways website.

Carers will receive notifications information, news and updates through regular email communications. In the meantime, you can continue to access support through your current service providers until the new Carer Gateway Service Providers start delivery services in April 2020.
