Join us at a Moreton Bay Access Drop In Sessions

Carers Queensland is your National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Partner in the Community for the Moreton Bay region.

We run regular Access Drop In sessions, for people who want to meet face to face with a Local Area Coordinator who can help them understand the NDIS, how to access the scheme and what else is available in their community.

Sam, who is a Local Area Coordinator with Carers Queensland at the North Lakes office, currently hosts the Deception Bay and Redcliffe Access Drop In sessions.

“Access Drop In sessions are great for people who would like to know more about the NDIS and the access phase. We are also available to help navigate the sometimes challenging access process, providing information to people living with a disability, their families and their carers,” he said.

“You can find information online about how to access the scheme, but if you’d like someone to sit down with you and go through the process to understand the access form, what supporting evidence means or looks like , then a Drop In session could be the answer for you.”

“People walk away feeling happy that they came along, and tell us they feel more prepared when requesting access to the NDIS.”

“At the Drop In sessions, we also provide information and support to people with disability and their family about other opportunities for community engagement and what is available and where. You don’t have to be looking at accessing the NDIS to get this support from Carers Queensland.” Sam shared.
