Carers Queensland has been chosen by the Queensland Department of Employment, Small Business and Training as a pre-qualified supplier of subsidised training and assessment services.
The Queensland Government aims to provide training participants RTO’s able to deliver high-quality, industry-standard training that supports employment opportunities.
The Skills Assure Certificate 3 Guarantee
The Queensland Government provides subsidised training opportunities to assist eligible Queenslanders at different stages of their working life to access vocational education and training and complete formal qualifications.
Under the Certificate 3 Guarantee, the Queensland Government provides a subsidy for a range of certificate III qualifications. Carers Queensland have been chosen to deliver a quality entry level Qualification for students wanting to enter the community services sector.
Are you eligible to participate?
The program is open to any Queensland resident aged 15 years or over who is no longer at school (with the exception of VET in Schools students) and is an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident (including humanitarian entrants), or a temporary resident with the necessary visa and on the pathway to permanent residency.
Prospective students must not have or be enrolled in a certificate III level or higher qualification (not including qualifications completed at school and foundation skills training).
Do I need to contribute to the cost of training?
Yes, students are required to contribute to the costs of their training through a co-contribution fee.

Non-concession: $100 Concession: $50
Under the Certificate 3 Guarantee Program, concessional participants are defined as follows:
The participant holds a health care concession card or pensioner concession card; or
The participant holds an official form under Commonwealth law confirming that the participant is entitled to concessions under a health care concession card or pensioner concession card; or the participant is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.
The Participant has a Disability — pensioner concession card or other documentation verifying the holder has disability.
If a student cancels prior to enrolment, a full refund will be provided. If a student cancels prior to completion of the qualification, units that have not been commenced will be refunded. Students are required to complete our Refund Request Form which is provided in our Student Handbook.
Certificate 3 Guarantee Entitlement
Eligible participants will no longer be eligible for a subsidised training place under the Certificate 3 Guarantee Program once they complete a Certificate Level III qualification.
