Information and Advisory Service
We are dedicated to making your life better
Caring for someone can be challenging at times so it is essential that you always have the right support in place.
Our Carer Advisory Service supports your caring role by providing information, planning and referral advice to you and your family.
We are here for you
The Carer Advisory Service is your first point of contact with Carers Queensland.
When you call, you will speak to our experienced Advisory Service officers.
We can help you with:
- Specialised information and resources about caring
- Providing referral advice about services in Queensland, including respite, counselling, education and training or carer support groups
- Emotional support and referral to our free counselling program
We continuously work with other agencies such as community groups, health professionals and government to increase awareness of carers’ roles and needs.
This is a state-wide service, available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (free call from local phones; mobile calls at mobile rates).
