“A wise person should have money in their head, but not in their heart” – Jonathan Swift

Making the most of the money we have available to us can require knowledge and skills.

To assist you in keeping up to date with news and tips about how to look after your money we will be including regular articles on relevant topics.

Have you heard of the Australian Government’s Moneysmart website?

This website has a wealth of information on a range of topics including how to avoid scams, how to look for your forgotten superannuation, what to do if there is an unauthorised transaction on your bank account and how to calculate the real cost of buying something on credit.

If you have a few spare minutes take the time to have a look at their website – moneysmart.gov.au/

If you do not have access to the internet and are after information about a particular topic please let us know and we will access this for you.

For those of you wanting to get ahead in 2019, we are planning a workshop in November 2018 that will give you the tools to set a budget, including a savings plan for the year and some tips about how to stay on top of your Christmas expenditure.

If you are interested in coming along to this workshop please let us know on phone (07) 4031 0163 or farnorth@carersqld.com.au
