With the global spread of COVID-19 pandemic rapidly evolving, Carers Queensland’s priority is the health and safety of our carers, participants, staff, their families and the community in general. We have now entered Stage 3 of the State’s roadmap to easing restrictions and our teams are here to support you throughout what continues to be a challenging period. We continue to follow recommendations from public health authorities, and we have taken additional steps to protect our staff and those most vulnerable in our communities. We have developed our own policies and practices to implement these standards which include physical distancing, safety and hygiene considerations. Planning sessions, implementations, check-ins and review meetings with participants can now be conducted face-to-face and will follow guidance to maximize interpersonal space.
