Chief Executive Officer
Debra has the delegated responsibility for all of the day-to-day operations of Carers Queensland.
Debra worked in leadership roles in the Victorian state government and the health and community service sectors in NSW & Victoria, for over 30 years, before relocating to commence as the CEO of Carers Queensland in September 2009.
Debra believes that the only way we can truly claim that Australia is the lucky country, is by opening up our places and spaces to people of all abilities, because everyone has the right to social inclusion and to be able to live the best life they can.
General Manager – Strategy
Cameron is the General Manager Strategy responsible for marketing and communications, organisational risk, quality and compliance, and policy and research at Carers Queensland.
He has spent 15 years in the community sector, working with diverse and marginalised populations. He has spent 10 years in senior leadership roles, in both the private and not-for-profit sectors, responsible for business growth, governance and performance, risk and assurance and change management.
Cameron has undergraduate qualifications in Behavioural Science and post-graduate qualifications in Business Administration.
He is passionate about building a positive culture and empowering people and organisations to deliver quality and contemporary services that enable sustainable community outcomes.
General Manager – Carer Services
Jayne emigrated from the UK in 2008 after working in the community sector for over 25 years. Previous experience was as CEO of Birmingham Carers Support Services and then Strategic Commissioner for Carers Services for the largest local authority in the UK. She has worked across Europe in multidisciplinary teams ensuring that services and supports were tailored to the needs of carers.
Jayne started work with Carers Queensland in May 2008 as State-wide Program Manager and was successful in securing several new contracts and programs.
As General Manager, Carer Services, her portfolio includes oversight of the Carers Advisory Service, Young Carers Program, Empower Care, Guardianship and Advocacy Program, No Interest Loans Scheme for Carers, and the Registered Training Organisation. She is a member of the Executive Leadership Team and as such has a broad depth of knowledge of all other programs across the state.
General Manager – National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Local Area Coordination (LAC) Partner in the Community Program
Jocelyn joined Carers Queensland in 2011 as the State Coordinator for the Better Start for Children with Disability Program and became the General Manager responsible for the LAC program on the 1st of January 2017.
Prior to her time at Carers Queensland she worked for Red Cross, Brisbane City Council and Disability Employment organisations.
Jocelyn is passionate about leadership, developing a positive organisational culture for staff and providing a high-quality service to people with disability, their families and the community.
General Manager – Corporate Services
Wayne joined Carers Queensland in 2014, working to create processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and safety of the people and assets at Carers Queensland. He focuses on providing solutions and results that are aligned with the goals of the organisation.
Wayne has over 15 years experience in similar roles in the not-for-profit sector, which enabled him to bring a unique blend of business acumen, financial management skills and insightful thinking.
In his role, Wayne provides leadership and oversees the organisation’s financial activities and operations, from a short-term approach to long-term forecasting.
