Supporting young people with disability transition from school to adult life

Join us for the April School to Adult Life Transition Hot Topic session, which will explore career planning and the employment landscape.

Our guest speaker, Megan Buxton, Career Counsellor from TAFE Queensland, will provide information and resources to support young people to:

  • identify the first steps in person-centred career planning
  • explore career pathways
  • discuss workplace requirements, as well as develop industry and labour market awareness.

You can also connect with other families and carers of young people who are navigating the transitional path from school to adult life.

Registrations are open to families and carers of young people from across the Carers Queensland service regions.

Carers Queensland is working with families and carers of young people aged 14 to 17 years old to identify potential barriers and challenges for young people transitioning from school to adult life, as well as the positive impacts that have supported students during this important life transition.

Who are we?
